President Bident will present remarks at a virtual grassroots event and a virtual fundraising reception for the Democratic National Committee.
Wednesday, November 10, 2021
President Biden will meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to build on their recent engagements at the G20, COP26, and the June U.S.-EU Summit. They will discuss a number of areas of cooperation, and the President will reaffirm his support for the European Union as a fundamental partner for the United States.
President Biden will travel to Baltimore, Maryland to visit the Port of Baltimore and discuss how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal delivers for the American people by upgrading our nation’s ports and strengthening supply chains to prevent disruptions.

President Biden will honor America’s military members and veterans at Arlington National Cemetery. He will participate in the Presidential Armed Forces Full Honor Wreath-Laying Ceremony on the centennial anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and deliver remarks at the National Veterans Day Observance at the Memorial Amphitheater.

President Biden will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ meeting where Leaders will discuss ongoing efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic and supporting the global economic recovery. The President’s participation demonstrates U.S. commitment to the Indo-Pacific region and to multilateral cooperation.
President Biden will hold a Cabinet Meeting to discuss implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal and the results it delivers for the American people by rebuilding roads, bridges and rails; expanding access to clean drinking water; ensuring every American has access to high-speed internet; tackling the climate crisis; and investing in communities that have been left behind.

Vice President Harris and Mr. Emhoff will tour the Institut Pasteur, a world-renowned research institute, and meet with American and French scientists working on COVID-19 and pandemic preparedness globally.

To mark Veterans Day in the United States and Armistice Day in France, the Vice President and Mr. Emhoff will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Suresnes American Cemetery. Later that afternoon, Mr. Emhoff will meet with U.S. Embassy staff and their families.

Mr. Emhoff will participate in an Armistice Day Ceremony at the Lafayette Escadrille Memorial in the morning. In the afternoon, Mr. Emhoff will join Elisabeth Moreno, France’s Minister for Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities, for a listening session with leaders on gender equity and alumni from U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. The alumni will share how these experiences shaped their commitment to gender equity and civic engagement. In the evening, the Vice President and Mr. Emhoff will attend a dinner hosted by President of France Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.

Mr. Emhoff will visit a culinary training program that provides classes at no-cost to help develop a new generation of individuals interested in careers in cooking and baking.
