"Today, the United States will sanction an expansive list of Putin’s cronies and their family members. One of the elites is Alisher Burhanovich Usmanov, one of Russia’s wealthiest individuals and a close ally of Putin. His property will be blocked from use in the United States and by U.S. persons – including his superyacht, one of the world’s largest, and just seized by our ally Germany, and his private jet, one of Russia’s largest privately-owned aircraft. The United States will also sanction Dmitry Peskov, who as Putin’s spokesman is a top purveyor of Putin’s propaganda. The United States will also impose visa restrictions on 19 oligarchs and 47 of their family members and close associates. As President Biden said, we, we will continue to work with our Allies and partners to hold accountable the Russian oligarchs and corrupt leaders who are profiting from this violent regime."
Full blocking sanctions on an expansive new list of Russian elites and their family members who enable Putin:
* Nikolai Tokarev (his wife Galina, daughter Mayya, and his two luxury real estate companies)
* Boris Rotenberg (his wife Karina, and his sons Roman and Boris)
* Arkady Rotenberg (His sons Pavel and Igor and daughter Liliya)
* Sergei Chemezov (His wife Yekaterina, his son Stanislav, and stepdaughter Anastasiya)
* Igor Shuvalov (His five companies, his wife Olga, his son Evgeny and his company and jet, and his daughter Maria and her company)
* Yevgeniy Prigozhin (His three companies, his wife, Polina, his daughter Lyubov, and his son Pavel),
* Dmitry Peskov, President Putin’s Press Secretary
* Alisher Usmanov (His superyacht, one of the world’s largest and just seized by our ally Germany, and his private jet, one of Russia’s largest privately-owned aircraft)
Imposing Visa Restrictions on 19 Russian Oligarchs, their 47 Family Members and Close Associates:
"Today the Department of State is announcing a new visa restriction policy to restrict the issuance of visas to certain Russian oligarchs, their family members, and close associates. These oligarchs are known to direct, authorize, fund, significantly support, or carry out malign activities in support of Russia’s destabilizing foreign policy. In an initial action under this policy, we have taken steps to place visa restrictions on 19 oligarchs and 47 family members and close associates."
"Full blocking sanctions on disinformation targets:
Treasury will designate seven Russian entities, SDN Strategic Culture Foundation and associated outlets Odna Rodyna, Rhythm of Eurasia, and Journal Kamerton; SouthFront; SDN InfoRos; New Eastern Outlook; Oriental Review; United World International; and Geopolitical. In addition, Treasury will designate 26 Russia and Ukraine-based individuals who play central roles in these organizations, enabling the Government of the Russian Federation’s efforts to spread disinformation and influence perceptions as a part of their invasion of Ukraine. These entities have spread false narratives that advance Russian strategic objectives and falsely justify the Kremlin’s activities."
Wise decision, wouldn't you agree?
The Clinton administration efforts to have the United Nations Security Council screen cases was rejected by other countries. Other countries refused to agree to what was believed to be an unequal standard of justice.
The International Criminal Court, to this date, is not insuring immunity of US nationals from prosecution by the Court.
If historical account are accurate, the United States has threatened termination of economic aid, withdrawal of military assistance, and other painful measures as leverage for participation. However, it is being argued that, " the United States has no intention to join the International Criminal Court, due to its concern about possible charges against United States and/or its nationals.
So, if the United States has legal evidence that Russia and/or Mr. Putin has commited war crimes against humanity: there is no member status that the United States has to prosecute Russia or Mr. Putin.
The United States has no legal member-staus access stand and present its evidence for prosecution before the International Criminal Court against any nation-state or leader or military.
The argument that the United States is gathering evidence against Putin and Russia is ,at the very least, odd. Why present the perception that the process of gathering evidence against Putin will accomplish some empirical form of accountability?

"Look at him, he is 44 years old and has a beautiful family, he is at this hour THE LAST REAL MAN IN THE WORLD, the only man who did not run away from the Russian aggressor!"
He could fill up a plane with money and leave Ukraine, he didn't, he could hide in a bunker, he didn’t, he could hand the country over to the Russians, he didn’T.
In 48 hours, this man may be gone, but what he did for his country, no one has done since World War II!

This is the world of our century, some die for freedom, others make fun of it!

GOD IS WATCHING US FROM A DISTANCE: WHILE BOMBS HIT UKRAINE | Written by Karen Ann Carr
The Global-Complicity on display, in Ukraine, as Russia drops missiles on civilians is beyond heart-breaking. It is criminal. The impotence of the G-7, United Nations and NATO is surprising, a disgrace and extremely hard to watch. Russia attacks a soverign Nation-State in Europe and no other sovereign nation/state sends military troops to deter or do anything. The rational is, Ukraine is not a member of any strategic military alliance.
Hummm. If that sounds familiar to you, it is because it is. We are witnessing a 2022 attack on Holocaust Memorial. We are listening to global politician pontificate about Putin being fooled and under-estimating what the G-7 and NATO leaders might do. Simply said, we are watching the display of intelleutual nonesense. Innocent children are being killed. Millions of civilian people are being displaced. Homes are being destroyed.
"The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, was the genocide of European Jews during World War II. Between 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered some six million Jews across German-occupied Europe, around two-thirds of Europe's Jewish population."
We are witnessing, a 2022 Genocide of Ukraine Citizens, humanitarian workers and international students studying in Ukraine. What is on display, what is being viewed in real time is Genocide.
As I listened to music this evening, the lyrics of a sound seemed very appropriate in relationship to what is presently happening against Ukraine. Leaders of the World are, again, not going to actively defend the sovereign territory of a country until millions of innocent people dead and displaced.
From a distance
The world looks blue and green
And the snow capped mountains white
From a distance, The ocean meets the stream. And the eagle takes to flight.
From a distance There is harmony. And it echoes through the land.
It's the voice of hope. It's the voice of peace. It's the voice of every man.
From a distance We all have enough. And no one is in need. And there are no guns, No bombs, and no disease No hungry mouths to feed
From a distance We are instruments Marching in a common band
Playing songs of hope Playing songs of peace They are the songs of every man
God is watching us. God is watching us. God is watching us, From a distance!
From a distance You look like my friend. Even though we are at war.
From a distance I just cannot comprehend What all this fighting's for.
From a distance There is harmony. And it echoes through the land.
And it's the hope of hopes. It's the love of loves. It's the heart of every man.
It's the hope of hopes. It's the love of loves. This is the song for every man.
God is watching us. God is watching us. God is watching us, From a distance!
Oh, God is watching us. God is watching, God is watching us, From a distance!
